38th Annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival – June 6th – 9th at Kapalua

The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival is another annual festival that has been practiced by Maui locals for several decades already. The activity includes the Grand Tasting event, wine tasting seminars, and cooking demonstrations with the participation of world-renowned chefs and wine experts.

The First Fridays in Wailuku has been an ongoing event that both residents and visitors enjoyed. The event features live performances, ono grinds, shopping, and more!

Waʻa Kiakahi Canoe Festival – June 7th-9th at Kaanapali

The Waʻa Kiakahi Canoe Festival is an annual activity in Maui hosted by Hawaiian Sailing Canoe Association to celebrate the traditional skills of Hawaiian, especially in sailing outrigger canoes. The festival will showcase canoe race, canoe sailing demonstrations, as well as canoe-rides.

Kamehameha Day – June 11th at Lahaina

Kamehameha Day is a state holiday in Hawaii celebrated every 11th of June to pay tribute to Kamehameha, Hawaii’s first king. Hawaiian locals celebrated the event through a colorful parade and Ho’olaule’a (weekend festival) at Banyan Tree Park in Lahaina. Maui Film Festival is a popular open-air film festival that is held annually in Maui. It features film screenings at the Celestial Cinema which is a 50-foot outdoor movie screen at the Wailea Gold golf course. Hawaiian Slack Key (Ki Hoalu) Guitar Festival is an annual outdoor festival celebrated in Maui. The activity is open to the public and includes some of Hawaii’s top slack key guitar musicians, aside from the delicious food and affordable craft booths.
